Welcome!!!
I love to make floral beads! There are lots of colors to choose from and I wanted to share with you how these are made.
A floral cane is made of many layers of hot glass. This bundle is then heated to molten and pulled into a thin cane.
The cane is then used almost
like a paintbrush to add leaves and petals to a base bead, creating a miniature flower garden.
All of the parts have to be kept hot in order to keep
the bead from cracking. A balancing act every minute.
The bead then goes into the kiln to anneal over night. The annealing process adds strength and
longevity to every bead I make.
For more specifics on this process, check out my "About Me" page.
